Ivan Sergeyevich Turgenev was a Russian novelist, short story writer, poet, playwright, translator and popularizer of Russian literature in the West. This taken from his DREAM TALES AND PROSE POEMS translated by Constance Garnett (1861 - 1946) She was an English translator of nineteenth-century Russian literature.
