The original Nike Alphafly NEXT% launched to much fanfare in 2020 and it has become a favourite of many runners in the years since, especially for marathons. However, the Alphafly certainly didn't win over all runners, and in our experience the Nike Vaporfly NEXT% 2 is still the more common sight on the start lines of most races.

Will that change with the launch of the Nike Alphafly NEXT% 2, or is the Vaporfly set to fend off another challenger to its carbon crown? Run Testers Nick and Kieran have been racking up the miles in the Alphafly 2 ahead of its official launch and give their verdict on how it compares to the Vaporfly here.
