Just purchased 3 Buick GSs from a Buick collector. Real GS 340, documented with copies of original window sticker and sales agreement. #s match motor and colors. Rare car, actually none of us here were even familiar with it. The red stripes, scoops and rally wheels are part of the package. All GS 340s were silver or white.
EXTERIOR: Show quality for sure. Has really clean straight body. No signs of rust or damage. Painted the factory color Platinum mist color. Metal flake is laid out evenly and have a very glossy clear coat finish. It looks wet. The red stripes and scoops are correct for this model. The chrome in trim is exceptionally nice on this car. Upfront the bumper is replated. The grill is very, very nice original? The chrome scoops on the hood are new. Has dual mirrors, remote on the driver's side. In back the bumper was rechromed, tail lights and tail panel is really nice. All the stainless trim is polished. Glass is excellent. Door jambs are painted and clear coated. Weather strips and window seals have been replaced. Has the correct rally wheels painted red like they're supposed to be with Buick center caps and new BFG tires.
INTERIOR: Really in excellent shape inside. The upholstery is new front and back. Door panels and armrests have been replaced. Dash pad looks new. The instrument panel is excellent- gloss paint, sparkly chrome, clear lenses. Has original AM radio but there is a stereo neatly hidden in the glove box. There are upgraded speakers in place of the original. Has a deluxe steering wheel. There is an aftermarket tachometer. Up above it has a new headliner, visors and mirror. On the floor it has new carpet and sill plates. The four speed has correct boot and reverse lockout handle with chrome ball.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original 340 motor. New valve seats 1,500 miles ago. New wiring harness, radiator and heater core. Rebuilt alternator and upgraded Pertronix ignition. New correct reproduction pie pan air cleaner. Correct Carter carb with electric choke. Tampa Bay rebuilt 4 barrel with electric choke. The motor itself is detailed. The engine bay is all smooth clean metal done in satin black. The jamb and bottom of the hood is gloss silver, has hood insulation. Has fan shroud, washer bottle, rubber splash shields. Features power steering and a new power brake system with cadmium plated booster.
