Note: No one knows, when after the World War 1 the am matrix-series started. Most of my serious collector fellows think in 1919 just like the ar/as matrrix series, but I think because of the old time label and the fact, that both operettas featured on Polyphon 15568 to 15571 had their premieres in autumn 1917, that probably the am series started in 1918. --- The four records of the featured recording series here were "loved to death" and the condition often was very poor. I had to do a lot of editing work on them. They still do not sound good, but the recordings are fine and it was worth the effort. As they are classical operetta recordings I feature them in the "Heritage" series. Elfriede Leschke is also known as Elfriede Dorp or Leschke-Dorp. She sang, just like Bötel, after WW1 at the StÀdtische Oper Charlottenburg (Berlin). Her records are rare. I will also publish some pictures of her in the "Historical Pictures" Collection.
