Another item in the Red Robin AEI/DMX collection. This is a generic Adult Contemporary ProDisc-series library (i.e. not containing advertising) and was heard in Red Robin restaurants, and many others, around the USA in 2006.

This disc had some top-surface (reflective/data layer) damage near the outer edge, causing read errors. I had to rip using the "replace erroneous sector with zeroes" option in Isobuster, so the final ~10 minutes of each segment are a bit noisy (though the noise bursts don't really show up in the waveform diagrams). Earlier in the year, this particular RR property had hired a kitchen manager who came of age in the early 90s, and was indoctrinated under the ideology of, if setting a loose disc down on an hard surface, lay it down belly-up so the underside doesn't get scratched. This is an old wives' tale at best, since polycarbonate scratches can be buffed out if they aren't too severe, and various devices are available on the market for that purpose. A compact disc's data layer (top surface) is covered under a layer of aluminium and lacquer only a few microns thick, so if it gets scratched, the disc is doomed. Especially if it's a mode-2 form-2 CD-I without error correction...

The downsampled 32000 Hz 320 Kb MP3 blocks were manually encoded and uploaded by me, from files derived from the disc's 37800 Hz ADPCM audio. These files were encoded using the "--resample 32000 -q0" option in LAME 3.99.5 (Linux). This is because 37800 Hz is not specified in the MP3 standard, and LAME's default behaviour is to downsample to the nearest valid sample rate. Therefore, the MP3 version is mainly intended for previewing in Archive's built-in Web player. While of acceptable quality, I don't recommend them for optimal listening. Audio master binaries are in 37800 Hz 2-channel ADPCM format, and can be easily converted to 16-bit linear PCM using ISO Buster and PSMPLAY.
