As legal problems mount for President Trump and his personal lawyer, a bipartisan coalition of senators—including Senator Charles Schumer of New York— is cautioning the president not to fire special counsel Robert Muller:

But the President's press secretary, Sarah Sanders, says the president believes he HAS the power to fire Mueller, if he so chooses.

Elsewhere on the high-tech outrage front ... a few dozen protesters—including one dressed up as an Amazon Echo speaker—turned out at Chicago City Hall today to protest the secrecy surrounding Chicago's bid to serve as home to Amazon's HQ2. The "Babies Before Bezos" movement is demanding that the subsidies the city tosses to Amazon be matched by investment in Chicago's neighborhoods.
