PrintNC is a way of building a powerful and precise CNC router (like Workbee, X-Carve, ShopSabre, etc.) using rectangular steel, 3D printed parts, and electronics readily available.
If you're having trouble finding a place to source steel for your DIY CNC router machine, then do a search for "steel suppliers near me" or "metal distributors", give them a call with your measurements and get some quotes. A lot of the smaller manufacturing plants don't sell to "hobbyists" so just keep looking.
The place where I bought my steel and aluminum for my PrintNC build was over 1.5 hours one way, but I got what I needed.
