I explore the issue of people seeking asylum, in particular at our border. Is the huge number of people largely indicative of an abuse of our generosity? Is it criminal to ask for asylum? How can Jeff Sessions say that the law allows separation of family units as a means of deterring? We are seriously overwhelmed by the vast numbers however that is not an excuse for lack of standardization and call for curbing of applying criminality implications across the board for people not legally already here applying to asylum at the boarder.
