This Nomad Tutorial is all about adding keys and splitting down a model for 3DPrint. This week focusses on the process of using Voxel remeshing to remove geometry from a model using another model or shape.
It’s like a Boolean operation in other programs but with some differences. Voxel mesh resolution is crucial and you have to increase the sculpts resolution to suit. It’s the best way to add ‘pegs’ or ‘pins’ or ‘keys’ to a model and make sure that they fit.
This is one of my favourite nomad sculpting app tutorials for a long while. Keying and splitting models for 3d printing is a really useful feature and something a lot of iPad sculptors will want to do at some point in Nomad App.
