Riders Radio Theater was a National Public Radio program that started in 1988 and ended in 1995. It was created and hosted by the western band Riders In The Sky. The idea for the show originated from a concept album titled Riders Radio Theater that the Riders recorded in late 1987. Each episode was around 30 minuets in length. In the early 1990's, the series was later turned into a television series for The Nashville Network titled Riders Radio Theater: The TV Show.
