My introduction to Laguiole knives came when I purchased what turned out to be two "fake" Laguiole knives. It took me a while to figure out that they were cheap knock-offs though as the information needed to tell knock-offs from authentic knives is spread across the internet. Hopefully this video will help others make the distinction more easily.
My authentic knife was created by Fontinelle Pataud: http://www.fontinelle-pataud.com/en
NOTE: I describe the famous Laguiole symbol as a FLY when it fact it's actually a BEE. So take what I say in the video and reverse it :)
