Mame Durrance grew upon a pig farm in Cowbarn, Iowa but she had big dreams to become a journalist. An inheritance fro her aunt allowed her to travel to pursue her dream, but after a brief and unsuccessful visit to New York, she finds herself back on the pig farm. Undaunted, she sets out for England to make her mark.
