Nubia, recuento de guerra (con música)

In February I interviewed a woman who asked to be identified as Nubia in a remote village in the municipality of Tame, Arauca Department, Colombia. Yesterday the experience of listening to her, seated in the sala of her family's simple house, came back to me.

I share some sections of the interview here, interspersed with music. For me, listening to music is like a form of therapy. It helps me process the information and the experiences I have while I'm working on stories like this one and trying to make sense of a totally unjust world.
