Vefasızsın Sözlük (2003): A hilarious song about Ekşi Sözlük (Sour Dictionary)

Acerca de
In 2003, a member of Ekşi Sözlük, nicknamed "cyrano", made a hilarious song with Hakan Altun, the composer of many popular Turkish songs today.
Special thanks to robin from Ekşi Sözlük for preserving the song to todays and letting me to upload it here. 💚
Lyrics in Turkish (English translation below, apologizes in case of mistranslations);
login oldum az önce
sevgilim ekşi sözlük'e
karmam düşmüş
mesaj kutum boş
döndürülmüşüm çaylak moduna
hiçbir mesaj yoktu suser'lerden
kimsesiz kalmıştım
yücelmiş entry'lerime bakıp bakıp
defalarca ağladım
vefasızsın sözlük
sen hayınsın sözlük
bomboş duruyor mesaj kutum
kimseler benim entry'mi yüceltmiyor
ceren miyim, emrah mıyım, minibüs mü girdi
(x2)
vefasızsın sözlük
çok hayınsın sözlük
hep bomboş benim inbox'um
yüceltilmiş entry'lerimi gördükçe ağlıyorum
ceren miyim, emrah mıyım, minibüsün girmesini istiyor musun
istiyor musun amına koyduğum
English Translation:
i just logged in
my dear ekşi sözlük
my karma has dropped
my inbox is all empty
i've been reset to rookie mode
there was no any message from susers
i was left all alone
i stared at my upvoted entries and
cried a lot
you're untruthful, sözlük
you're disloyal, sözlük
my inbox is all empty
nobody upvotes my entry
am i ceren, am i emrah, was i hit a minibus
(x2)
you're untruthful, sözlük
you're so disloyal, sözlük
my inbox is always all empty
whenever i see my upvoted entries, i cry
am i ceren, am i emrah, do you wanna hit by a minibus
do you wanna it, you fuck
Some notes about the lyrics:
On Ekşi Sözlük, there's a "karma system", allowing people to vote the authors' entries and authors gain a score according to the votes they got. Same as Reddit has. The interesting fact is that Ekşi Sözlük started using it a few years before Reddit's launching, and I even assumed that Aaron Swartz (🙏) and/or other founders might be inspired by Ekşi Sözlük for Reddit's karma system.
Newcomer members on the site are called "çaylak (rookie)". Unlike "yazar (author)" titled members, their entries are not public (only moderators and other members can see them), and they have to go through an approval process, when they prove that they follow the dictionary format, to gain "yazar" title. If an author breaks any rule, they might be reset to rookie mode for a limited time.
Although it's not an official term in Ekşi Sözlük's slang, every user is often called "suser" (abv. for "sözlük user"). Some people don't like to use it and they prefer to use "sözlükçü (dictionarist)" instead.
The part of "Ceren, Emrah, and minibus" might be something that used to be in Turkish internet slang in early 2000s. I'm not entirely sure, though.
