Quantum Bit was founded on October 24th, 2006 by writing a manifest:

Art should not belong to the artist. Instead art is seen as creative symbol of change and remix. While art is somehow holy, it is seen everywhere and is intended as invitation to be creative. Art can never die, but is useless if only seen for profit.

The label releases art since 2007 as "limited edition", i.e. the catalogue is limited to 33 × 3 items (each in the categories "album", "FreeQ EP/live" and "single"). 2017 the music catalogue reached this limit and thus is complete.
