And what does it mean for the City of Sacramento? Today on Insight, we'll talk with Sacramento Bee reporter Ryan Lillis about it. Crime Rate Impact? - Sacramento's Police Department is preparing to change how it polices in the city after being hit with a $12.2 million cut. How might those layoffs affect the crime rate? We'll talk about police organization and management with Dr. William Vizzard, Professor of Criminal Justice at Sacramento State. He's also a former Deputy Sheriff with Fresno County Sheriff's Department. Tower Records Documentary - Colin Hanks, the son of actor Tom Hanks who grew up in Sacramento, is working with two of his childhood friends to raise money for a documentary on Tower Records. The trio is hoping to raise the money for "All things Must Pass: The Rise and Fall of Tower Records" through a Kickstarter campaign. We'll talk with Hanks and Sean Stuart about why they want to make the film. Sound Advice: Record Sale - From Beyonce to Wagner, you'll hear just a tiny sample of the eclectic music gathered for Capital Public Radio's annual Used Record Sale.
