Haystack H368
About
PART OF THE LOST MEDIA HAYSTACK. Most if not all of the audio on these cassettes is likely not lost media, but I do not have the time or the experience with most of the material to verify this.
DIGITIZED IN THE BACKGROUND. Most of these cassettes were not monitored while being digitized. Lineage is as follows: Tascam 302 cassette deck, direct in to a 3rd-generation Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, recorded into Logic Pro X at 96kHz, 24-bit, compressed to FLAC with XLD. These recordings may not be of the highest possible quality. Cassettes that did not fail while being digitized will be kept while the recordings are on the Haystack in case lost media is found so that a high-quality copy can be preserved.
PLEASE HELP ME SCAN THESE FOR LOST MEDIA. You can help by listening to one or more of these cassettes and researching whether anything on the cassette is lost media. Leave details about the media on the tape in an IA Item Review at the bottom of this page, e-mail uncommon.ephemera@gmail.com, or leave a message in the "#haystack" channel on the Uncommon Ephemera Discord. When e-mailing or using Discord, please specify the identifier starting with "H."
ITEMS WILL BE REMOVED. Any IA items in this collection not identified as having lost media will be removed on or after November 1, 2023. To limit liability to Uncommon Ephemera and the Internet Archive, items not containing any lost media will not be kept in perpetuity. Any original cassettes in the posession of Uncommon Ephemera may be discarded or re-used after this date.
