enerable Thich Nu Thuan Tue,  Abbess of Dieu Nhan Zen Meditation Monastery in Rescue, CA,  was born in the City of Hue in Vietnam. She was ordained as a Vietnamese Zen Buddhist Nun in 1979 by Venerable Zen Master Thich Thanh Tu. She practiced Zen from 1979-1983 at Bat Nha Zen Monastery and continued her practice at Vien Chieu Zen Nunnery until 1994. Her meditation practice became more deepened and focused when she retreated at Truc Lam Zen Monastery in Dalat from 1994-2010. Since the year 2000, she was a Dharma Master at many Vietnamese Zen monasteries such as Vien Chieu, Hue Chieu, Pho Chieu and Truc Lam. In addition, she taught and guided numerous Buddhist meditation groups in Vietnam throughout the Nation.
