Grammophon recorded about in the time from 1929 to 1932 a few „Short Operas“ with shortened arias, so that the main pieces of the opera did fit on five records. The singers were taken from the first and more often from the second forces of the Berlin State Opera. It is not always a pleasure to listen to heaviliy shortened arias, but through this way we get a few more recordings from singers who haven’t done a lot of other recordings.

The album sets had a text booklet, which in my case here is missing.
