The EXPLORERS PROJECT was unique to the Monroe Institute Research Division. Each tape consists of actual recordings, taken during experiments with the MIAS or Hemi-Sync® tapes, which explored the far reaches of altered time and space. In these altered states, certain individuals learned to extend their consciousness into non-physical realms of existence.

Monitored by Robert Monroe and other trained monitors, the Explorers’ report from these non-physical environments, and communicate their perceptions. In many instances, foreign "third parties" would enter the experiments to aid in the understanding of their non-physical worlds.

In many of the experiments a total emergence from one being into the Explorer's physical body took place, causing definitions and concepts relating to our physical beings to be drastically reexamined.

There are files for more than 70 Explorers with over 950 audio session files.

IMEC-176 Report - How the observer communicates (Summary)

There is a subtle point being made by the Friends and that is that the observer state is also the state where OBE takes place. The art of maintaining the void state and identifying with and developing the Observer. There is a learning process to experience energies and the Explorer has to be patient for the process to become mature. The Friends bring a perspective to OBE and how this state is a result of understanding that you are not your body. There are other lessons here such as how the desire to write books, teach and have a desire to change the world is aspective. .

IMEC-177 The nature of creation (Summary)

This is a rambling discourse on the nature of creation. IMEC describes one a higher level of creation as the intercourse of the “King” and “Queen” that leads to the creation of the “four elements” that further interact to create. The individual experience of the creation of another is itself an act of cocreation. The limitations of understanding due to the need to use verbal concepts and illustrations. Although offered as metaphors, they become actual “things” to the intellect and may become a creation in the physical world.

IMEC-178 The act of creation (Summary)

This is a discourse on the act of constant creation. On the physical plane, each thought, desire, idea, or emotion of your awareness interacts with uncreated energy to create “seeds” that seek to manifest in the physical world. Each seed should be nourished by awareness. However, uncontrolled thoughts and desires create manifestations that conflict or are abandoned. Experiencing each moment as it is without reference to the past or the future can avoid the birthing of ideas and manifestations.

IMEC-179 Creation of the physical plane (Summary)

A discourse on the origin of the physical plane as a manifestation of the energy of the creator. Undivided energy divides into the “king” and “queen” that subdivide into the four elements. Constant motion and constant light are the only constants, which intermingle to create the four elements and all aspective the physical plane.

IMEC-180 The next higher state of consciousness (Summary)

When IMEC looks at Friends energy body, it is semi-transparent, but much like humans. It features quick movements and separations among different parts. Energy is much faster. There follows a long descriptive discourse on the nature of the next higher state of consciousness.

IMEC-181 A different entity related to the gathering (Summary)

We are an energy in a separate reality related to the Gathering. Is the gathering related to a purpose or intent to join with us? We seek out other realities to expand our consciousness. We can do this without the experience of actually participating. We study the workings of what you have called the universes.

IMEC-182 What the Friends see (Summary)

This is a bit of a more advanced session. The dialogue is disjointed though the content can be discerned with patience. The Friends talk about how they see through the eyes of people on Earth. The Energy systems of people and how each person views their own version of reality. Martin asks the Friends to speak about the energies.

IMEC-183 Reality know the experience (Summary)

This is a unique situation as both Martin and Marie are recorded in a session together. The Friends lecture on their core philosophy including methods to experience other realities. The tension between Martin and the Friends is demonstrated during the session and Martin comments on this in the debrief. This session is insightful as it is both a Summary of the Friends and a demonstration of the limitation of the Friends understanding of humans and our ability to understand them. Language is the barrier and the only way to know is to have the experience.

IMEC-184 Focus on awareness (Summary)

What you focus on is what you experience. Friends give a perspective of personal responsibility for manifestation. There is an emotional outflow of love.

IMEC-186 Agreement with the whole being (Summary)

The Friends discuss how to implement ideas, how time / space is created. How to overcome the paradox of thinking. Theory is good but only if it predicts reality. How do you take in an idea and apply it to your daily existence? Within your body is every theory that you believe. Do you believe the cell has consciousness? Your body has the body to create and maintain a reality.

IMEC-187 Energy of sun or moon (Summary)

Our awareness is where our energy is located. The inside and outside, the Sun and the Moon. When our energies are recognized and brought into balance. Three energies come together for the manifestation of reality. I am aware and have brought all of my created energy the sun, the moon and myself. So many sub-energies are consolidated and recognized. The outside forces are dependent on us and we on them. None are greater than the other; all are needed.

IMEC-188 Many energies of the self (Summary)

In bringing you the understanding of the inner workings of yourself, you have been shown that there are also the energies within yourself. Now, they're in a fragmented condition, to project again on to the inner world, that there needs to be something done to fix the world as when you project outside yourself and feel that something needs to be done that you need to correct the outside forces to make a peaceful world. This is where we run into the difficulties of explaining to you without getting into the judgement of good and bad.

IMEC-189 Aspects of the five senses (Summary)

The aspects of the five senses have become separated in the sense of the total being and they have been given specific roles, specific duties. These processes have their roles and their duties have come into existence through personal experience.

The many energies that compose the consciousness.

IMEC-191 Nonverbal communication (Summary)

Observing the “Knowing” communication moving around the different systems in the bodies of emotion, intellect and physical.

IMEC-192 Energetic waste of the intellect and emotional bodies (Summary)

Just as the physical body produces waste by the consumption of matter to form the physical body. The emotional and mental body produces waste from the consumption of energy to build and sustain their growth and function.

IMEC-193 Senses have an opposite (Summary)

Recognize that each of our senses has an opposite. A total perception of the opposite sense of hearing. Becoming an observer that this will automatically bring in the inner reactions of the opposite side of seeing and hearing and feeling tasting syncing all of those senses. Which would give you 10 senses. This is when people feel that they are becoming psychic.

IMEC-194 Release from resistance (Summary)

Even if you're not afraid to go, you still can't go until you ready to go. Those who fear death can't go until they're invited to go. There's no meaning to anything in the void of death which is different than the void. It's the other end. It is from full life to nothingness. All the tension and resistance come because they're trying to join with the fear of nothingness, which is closely associated with the nothingness of death. What I just experienced is the aspect of death. And that's all it is, an aspect. So death does not exist – what exist is the aspect of death.

IMEC-195 Maintain balance between physical and abstract (Summary)

Eventually, you will know that the two worlds will merge together. One emerged too much in the physical and denying mine and other sources of knowledge is denying themselves. Those who enter in to the imagination to the degree that they reject and deny the physical and that world which man has made as long as he is in that world will run into as much difficulty as the man who has emerged in the physical without looking towards those subjects such as your religion, your afterlife, the death states and so forth.

IMEC-196 What the focus level colors mean (Summary)

Marie or the Friends describe the colors associated with moving into higher focus levels. There is a discussion about the male and female energy in relation to the Earth and the colors.

IMEC-197 Law of the triangle (Summary)

The ability to see the one understanding in the many forms that it is projected on the Earth plane in energies. That energy forms your life form entering into the world of opposites. If you add one and two together, you get three, that third portion is your being. When you learn the law of the triangle, you will know much.

IMEC-198 Earth and your fellow humans need no saving divine indifference (Summary)

The physical body is part of this world of duality. When you reach a point, where you have come to full understanding of what you are, and of what the world is, then the knowledge of other worlds, there would not be the desire then to enter back in to the Earth plane. But the Earth and your fellow humans do not need saving.

IMEC-199 Thoughts have power (Summary)

Agreement is the joining of energy. When man takes thoughts, takes his energy, the uncreated energy, and creates mental images, thoughts, and projects them out, then these thoughts have the power to create. To Create down the chain of command with a lesser degree, because that thought, before it can be operable must pass through man. When you have created something with a thought, one could say that it remains dormant, within until it is stimulated by the consciousness. In other words, the thought, in one sense, has a certain amount of power.

IMEC-200 Divine indifference true love (Summary)

Individuals get involved in the emotional bodies of others through religions and through acts of believing that focusing on other people’s responsibilities. They do not wish to focus on their own development. So they focus on other people, other people accepting that then become imprisoned to them. This is where the true meaning of love and caring come in.
