About

Giving a Second Chance Webathon is a live acoustical album, made between 1: 01 and 1: 30 P. m., on Thursday, December 16th, 2021, in Weehawkan, New Jersey. The songs were recorded for the National Foundation for Transplants Benefit Webathon held on Saturday, March 5th and Sunday the 6th. It is hosted by the musician Catherine Wacha, and the New Jersey online radio station BlowUpRadio. The weekend webathon showcases over twenty five artists performing 30 minute acoustical and light sets. It is described by the media magazine New Jersey Stage as featuring artists that "traverse a gambit of genres from easy listening to punk rock, and all sorts of genres in between." The set list began airing at 4: 45 P. m. on March 5th. On it, Chris Lee plays the acoustic guitar, and sings. The first four songs are from the upcoming album Bradley. The next two songs are on Panorama, followed by an unreleased song "Fields." And, track numbers ten and eleven are demo songs from Panorama, "Eiewa," and an alternate version of "Awae."

In conjunction with the webathon, is a digital compilation album that is put together by Catherine Wacha, named Giving a Second Chance: a Benefit for National Foundation for Transplants. All of the songs on the album are previously unreleased recordings. It was released on the Saturday, the 5th, and a donation of 10 dollars, or more, unlocks the download for the 42 song album. The demo version of "Awae" is track number 25 on the compilation, and is uploaded in June, following the completion of the donation period. Giving a Second Chance Webathon is exclusively added at the Archive, at 10: 00 P. m. on Wednesday, March 9th, 2022. At 7: 00 P. m., on Monday, March 14th, 2022, the sixth track "Oh" was played during BlowUpRadio's New N. J. Music broadcast. The alternate version of Awae is in rotation, in October of 2022. On March 10th, 2025, Recent Music Heroes featured "Fields" as the Teaser of the Day, describing it as sad, indie folk.
