About
Librarians on the Radio celebrate National Poetry Month with one of the most special guest packed shows ever! Lara interviews Nanaimo North practicum student Scott Gailey about his music project You're Me and Jason interviews local hip hop musician Sirreal (aka Matt Duane) about his rap career and his work in schools. Nanaimo's Poet Laureate Tina Biello talks about here duties as Nanaimo's poet, her writing process and about the poetry compilation that commemorated Canada's 150 that she curated with the Nanaimo Harbourfront branch of VIRL, 150 x 39. Jason played a prerecorded interview with Nanaimo Librarians Kaylea and Jonathon about their GeekCon event. Emily was on with her Beeps and Boops segment, Darby read a poem and Stephen played a song by Canada's greatest poet, Leonard Cohen.
