About
Rights of Nature Worldwide with Craig Kauffman, Ph.D.
Recorded by Todd Boyle June of 2017.
Ruth Perkins is your host for this show.
Craig Kauffman, Ph.D. speaks on the legal and constitutional rights of nature worldwide. He is the Assistant Professor
of Political Science and Environmental Studies at the University of Oregon. Environmental politics, sustainable
development, Earth law and rights of nature and the Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature Worldwide (GARN)
(https://therightsofnature.org/ ) are among many other aspects of this interesting and varied topic. Making laws doesn’t
guarantee the safety of water and land nor the preservation and conservation of flora and fauna. Dr. Kauffman has
traveled the world observing and researching the similar patterns and various differences in how people are bringing the
rights for nature into law and justice. What are the conflicts? How are systems changed,… or are they? Can equilibrium be
made or found? What are the innovations? How does it affect activists? Craig Kauffman has authored Grassroots Global
Governments, Local Watershed Management, Experiments and Evolution of Sustainable Development. For more information:
