About

The Rolling Stones' fifth album was an attempt to distance the band from their more well-known blues style. Led by the genius of Brian Jones, this album featured more complex instrumentation than their previous albums, and spawned the popular #1 single Ruby Tuesday/Let's Spend the Night Together, which were both included in the American version of the album. The Stones took much inspiration from their British contemporaries like The Kinks, which has many similar elements from their material scattered throughout the album. To put it short, this album was the Stones' best attempt at sounding British.

This is the United Kingdom version of the album released on Decca Records, not the American version released by London.

I upload iPod-friendly music from different eras in FLAC format. You don't need to edit anything at all, just plug and play! Most of my albums will be in mono except for ones with dedicated mixes.

My uploads are for educational purposes only. My account is dedicated to preserving how music was mixed back in the mid-20th century.
