In a discussion of his new book, Jack Cashill documented what he calls an unfortunate mutation in America's liberal tradition, namely the unholy rise of neo-puritanism. Its adherents show less interest in celebrating the many colors of the multicultural rainbow than they do in condemning those who resist the celebration.
