El 8 de diciembre de 1998 fue apuñalado mortalmente el hincha de la Real Sociedad Aitor Zabaleta en las inmediaciones del estadio Vicente Calderón, por parte de ultras nazis del Frente Atlético.

Así se cuenta en el libro "La Mecha. Historias de política y rock vol. 1" , con banda sonora de Soziedad Alkohólika.
