How to make Chashu and Nitamago 〜チャーシュー〜 | easy Japanese home cooking recipe | Video

In this video, I am showing how to make Chashu, Chinese style barbecued pork, in Chinese written as Char siu. Chashu is a very typical topping for Ramen noodles. I am also showing how to make Nitamago, flavored soft boiled egg, using the marinate sauce of Chashu.

In my Channel, I show step by step of alternative but authentic Japanese home cooking, which can be made with the ingredients that are easily available outside of Japan.

Ingredients for Chashu:

Pork belly 750-1000 g

Garlic 2-3 cloves

Ginger 10 g

Scallion 1-2 stalks

Chashu marinate sauce:

Pork broth 2 Cups
Soy sauce 1 Cup
Sugar 100-150 g
Garlic 2-3 cloves
Ginger 10 g
Scallion 1-2 stalks
Chili pepper (optional)
