Masa (sweet)

• 1 cup of rice (jasmine) soaked overnight in the fridge
• 3 tbsp evaporated milk
• Bloom yeast with: 1/2 tsp dry active yeast, 1 tsp sugar, 1/4 cup lukewarm water)
• 1/4 cup cooked rice
• Add extra 1 tbsp water
• 2 tbsp sugar (adjust amount to taste)
• Pinch of salt
• Cooking oil for frying
• Honey to drizzle for serving

Masa (savory)

• 1 cup of rice (jasmine) soaked overnight in the fridge
• 1/4 cup cooked rice
• 1/4 cup coconut milk
• 1 &1/2 tbsp chopped onion
• Bloom yeast with: 1/2 tsp dry active yeast, 1 tsp sugar, 1/4 cup lukewarm water)
• 1 tbsp sugar (adjust amount to taste)
• 1/2 tsp of salt, or to taste
• Cooking oil for frying
• Suya/Yaji for serving.
