Revelation 3:7-12. There is a harsh reality that we all must face. If we choose to live for God, by seeking to make good and godly life choices, we are going to suffer for it. It that you? I hope so, not that you and I are suffering, but that in the end, we will experience indescribable reward for being faithful to God in troubling and difficult times. (Romans 8:18​ff) Well gang, we are living in those times. We must, as the early church had to, make the choice to stand fast for the Lord. For we are call to be and excepted to be faithful to God even as persecution comes out way fro following Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:12​) Now, much of the Church historically has been living under harsh persecution from the unbelievers and worldly systems of governance sense the first century. It is only in recent history that so many in our circles of relationships have come under intense scrutiny for their faith. Yet, we still have great freedom and out lives are not in jeopardy. But things could change quickly. People say mean thing and we get supper bent our of shape, but as my Grandfather said, "Stick and stone may break my bone, but you words will never hurt me." Wow, how times have changes. May we chose to be faith to Jesus, never liking back, even unto death, that we may revive the Crown of Life from the God. (Revelation 2:10​) Yes, people can say and do things that hurt us, but we need to remember that we are living for someone and something so much greater than this world has to offer: The Kingdom of Heaven and Its King.
