IUMA: Apex Predator - Kostenloses Hörbuch

Apex Predator is a noise/power electronics act from the bitterly cold north, something that may or may not be reflected in the sounds it creates. Drawing some, but not all, its inspiration from artists like Navicon Torture Technologies, Control, The Cherrypoint, John Wiese, Lefthandeddecision, Lackthrow, Exsanguinate, the sounds AP make tend to be on the harsher side of the electronic scale.

The music (?) is created by voice, microphone, turntable, computer, metal, film samples, sound scraps from various artists, animals, elements, occurances and bodily functions.

There are instances of vocals on some of the tracks, both sampled and my own, and in those cases where there are lyrics I try to avoid the usual themes of sadism, misanthropy, feces and mysogeny, although, there are -of course- elements of all of the above in there, to some degree (except for mysogeny).

Actually this project is called Maim (and used to be called Rabid Eye Movement, a project which is on ice at the moment), but since that name was already taken, I had to go with the alternative project name Apex Predator, so consider all the tracks on this page Maim and not AP.

Maim has released some tapes/cdrs on Hijosdeputa Records, formely known as Noisetapes Records, formely known as FWHY Records (http://www.noisetapes.cjb.net/).
