What inspirited this song???? Personal experience, this song was therapy for me. John 9:34. To this they replied, "You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!" And they threw him out. Self-righteousness is the worst kind of thing. Anybody who has had this kind of experience of being thrown out of church knows how painful this can be. Especially when you do what the Lord wants you to do or to speak the things He wants you to speak and you are treated like an evil person and cast out. This is how I feel about modern day Christianity. These modern day pastors are like the Pharisees of old who where trusting in their church systems and hierarchy and crucified Christ. These poor blind men lack vision of what God wants to build and bring about in His people. This song is an attempt to expose most pastors inner attitude toward the body of Christ and how they exalt themselves over Gods people with intellectual pride. May the Lord Jesus Christ be the head over all His people and may His people desire it so. Just makes me feel like giving up at times but this I know, I do have a relationship with the Lord and He does encourage me, even if I am but a smoldering wick.
