Yahoo buys social shoping site Polyvore - Kostenloses Hörbuch

Yahoo is trying to be more stylish... and hopes advertisers will take notice. It paid around $200 MILLION dollars for fashion shopping search engine Polyvore. It's similar to Pinterest, where people use a digital cork-board to share fashion, beauty and decorating ideas with a link back to places where they can be bought. Yahoo hopes it'll help sell ads from companies that focus on fashion and design. The deal is the latest under CEO Marissa Mayer. She's bought several smaller companies, but so far, Yahoo's revenue remains flat.
