Video: Gathering and cooking crablets from the river | Life in the Countryside, Philippines | Ep. 41

Mabuhay! It's summer! Since we don't have seas in our province, I went to the river and get some fresh water crabs for our simple meal. I really enjoyed gathering crabs and yes the crystal clear freshwater from the river is a plus. Sadly, I didn't have extra clothes so I can swim to the river with the kids swimming there. Maybe next time. Today I cooked crispy fried crablets. Filipinos loves to eat this as pulutan(appetizer taken with alcohol) but in our case we ate it as ulam(viand).
