Video: Aircraft Transponder; What is it for? How does it work?/Aviation explained

The transponder in aviation is used to locate and identify an aircraft. Traditionally, 3 modes are available for this purpose: Mode A, Mode C and Mode S. In all modern, commercial aircraft, we find another component, it is called ADS-B: "Airborne Dependent Surveillance Broadcast", and today it contributes significantly to aviation safety.
