In the world of mechanised infantry warfare, the Soviet BMP is without a doubt the industry leader in its class of IFV's, serving with dozens of nations in many different variants, and remaining in production to this day. While a far from perfect vehicle, the BMP has been so influential throughout the Cold War period that it cornered the international market right across the world, and despite clearly showing its age, is not likely to be going anywhere anytime soon.
