Wartales is a game about making your own way in a dangerous world seeking fame, fortune, and possibly helping people out along the way. The choice is yours, and between numerous NPC interactions, 2D strategic battles, and constantly running from danger in the overworld, this game is the total package already. But despite that, I still need to do a deeper dive because so far I've simply been grazing on the surface of Wartales. That starts today, where I go on Iron Man mode and see just how quickly I can trash my chances at making it big.
Wartales has DNA from a lot of other games, including Battle Brothers, Kenshi, and Mount and Blade. It's well worth the price right now and I'm excited to see where this game goes towards release. Intimated as hell, yes. But excited.
