Sometimes though you have pilots who need that extra payload to carry more people. Thats why today we are looking at 5 six seater airplanes that you can buy used in today’s market for less that $100,000.

Keep in mind that most of the aircrafts listed are twins engine aircrafts with retractable landing gears. That makes them complex and more expensive to own. So although you have a low entry purchase price, the maintenance cost for these aircrafts will be on the high side.

Cessna 310R - Easily one of the better looking twin engine airplanes still flying today. The Cessna 310R is a later model of the 310s that were introduced in 1975. They have better performance compared to the earlier models of the Cessna 310s. This aircraft is quite old but still very capable. And you can find a good used one today for less than 100k

Beechcraft B55 Baron: The Baron 55 is another early model twin manufactured in the united states by Beechcraft. Gives you competitive performance on speed and has quite the useful load to haul 4-5 passengers and fly long distance.

Piper Aztec - Also known as the Piper PA-23. one of my favorite airplane on the list. Has enough useful load to carry more passengers. It does travel a bit slower than the rest at 172 miles per hour cruise speed. But the best part about this airplane’s performance is the range. You can fly it north of 1500 miles with full fuel tanks.

Piper Seneca II - Also known as the Piper PA-34. Here is another superb twin engine aircraft from piper that can haul 6 people and travel long distance. There are several iteration to this airplane but anyone you choose will serve you just as nice.

Piper Cherokee 6 - Also known as the Piper PA-32. One of the most affordable six seater airplanes in the market. This is also the only single engine aircraft on the list. Having only one engine means you are slower at 168 miles per hour cruise speed. But it also means you get to save some money on the maintenance cost since you don’t have to deal with he complexity of having 2 engines and retractable landing gears.

RANGE: 840 miles
