Using a voice-imitating spell that makes her sound like Nathaniel, Mephisto and Praxina calls Talia and Auriana down to the smoothie bar, then uses the same spell to lure Iris to a deserted street where they attack her. Felled by a black crystal bolt, Iris lays on the ground, groggy and vulnerable. Just as the Twins are almost upon her, a mysterious warrior comes out of nowhere, drives off Mephisto and Praxina and rescues Iris. The next morning Iris wakes up unsure if the previous night’s events were a dream or reality. Talia casts a spell that enables all three Princesses to see what actually occurred, and the girls see that Iris was indeed saved by a masked Ephedian. Seeking to learn the identity of the mysterious Ephedian, the girls return to the scene of the fight to look for clues. They find nothing but a broken gold chain. When Iris returns home with the gold chain, it leads her to Aunt Ellen’s bedroom. Iris is stunned to realize that Aunt Ellen is who saved her! Aunt Ellen explains that she was chosen by Iris’ mother to accompany the infant Iris to Earth and be her guardian. Iris can’t believe Aunt Ellen hid the truth from her all these years, and she runs upstairs, upset. Meanwhile back on the deserted street, the Twins surprise Talia and Auriana and capture them. Aunt Ellen talks with Iris who begins to understand that Aunt Ellen, whose Ephedian name is Ellira, had to keep the truth from her. When Iris’ pendant glows, the two head off to help the captured Talia and Auriana. Working together, Iris and Ellira, still wearing her mask, manage to defeat the Twins and the magical ram. In the end, Iris keeps Aunt Ellen’s secret, not revealing her real identity to her fellow Princesses.
