Walter De La Mare (25 April 1873 - 22 June 1956) was an English poet, short story writer and novelist, best known for his works for children and ghost stories, the latter of which were a favorite of H. P. Lovecraft. His first book of poetry, Songs of Childhood, was published in 1902. - Summary by mungojerry311
