Astrophil and Stella is a sequence of sonnets and songs written by Sir Philip Sidney, the Elizabethan poet, courtier and soldier. The first of the famous English sonnet sequences, Astrophel and Stella influenced later writers like Edmund Spenser and William Shakespeare.
