Magi was formed in the early 90's by brothers Frank and John Taylor and Singer Jim Orlando. Scott "Shecky" Hetherington became the drummer in 1999. Magi prides itself on expanding their musical influences and trying to also be original in their songwriting. The songs are aggressive yet display alot of melody. Songs range from hard rockish "Follow the River" with references to pollution and how it is destroying our world to the heavy metal - soon to be classics "No. 2 Coal Shovel", "Trespassers will be Violated", and "Turmoil". Magi recorded its self-titled debut album from December 2000 to May of 2001 and has recently finished their follow-up called "Sacred Circle". The new album shows the continued maturity in Magi's songwriting. Some highlights of the new album include; "Visions from the Final Hour", "La Cosa Nostra", and "Freedom".
