Based in their hometown of St. John's, Newfoundland, HERO GETS GIRL is an exciting new musical project that has just hit the local circuit. Formed in the summer of 2002, Hero Gets The Girl is a 5-piece band that features Ritche Perez on vocals, Mike Pardy on guitar, Ivan Coffin on bass, Brian Downton on drums, and newly recruited, fresh from the market, Robert Reynolds, guitar all members with an extensive history in the local scene. Hero Gets Girl hit the stage in late-December 2002, and is currently offering a number of newly-recorded demo mp3s for download on their main website. The band serves up a melodic blend of hook-driven, catchy speed-pop with a healthy dose of classic metal and punk rock weaved throughout the mix. 2003 promises to be an exciting year in the Hero Gets The Girl camp keep a lookout for recordings, t-shirts, and lotsa shows!
