Unheimliche Zeiten is the last artistic effort of Norbert Kutz in art Eisenlager. In perfect (dis)harmony with the title all the tracks create a sense of frozen time, as if waiting for something in a windowless room, which forces attention toward the details of the sounds. After a few listens, it is possible to stop waiting for something to happen and realize that it is all happening right there. Dissonant tones twine around each other and partially blot out long-crunching rhythmical loops and uneventful noisy burst, which in turn break through the electronics with occasional surrealist squeals or the whine of a nightmarish pads.

Vava Vol is a Canadian self-produced electronic music composer and musician with a passion for electronic, ambient, experimental and avant-garde music and has been writing music since 1978. She creates and records soundscapes and voice using various recording devices, analog and digital synths, vocoders, tape loops, transistor and short wave radio waves, field recordings, ethnic and handmade instruments.
