WJMO was a R&B Music station but had local talent on the air 24-7, with a fully staffed news department, which is now extremely rare for Urban radio stations in 21st century America. The morning show was hosted by Tony Harris who became a CNN/HBO/Al Jazeera news anchor, and Ken Robinson who later reported for CNN/ABC Radio/AP/Fox News Channel.
