Hello and good morning from Austin Texas yes the South by Southwest00:20:31Music Festival is underway and I think the biggest name here and everyone's talking00:20:36about him is music country music superstar Keith Urban He is probably the biggest00:20:43name that will be performing this week and for those who who know and don't know00:20:47over the course of his career he has earned 4 Grammy awards 10 Country Music00:20:53Association Awards and the list goes on and on so he will be here and another big00:20:58name is El cane I think the biggest hit for her is X is another She's an American00:21:05singer songwriter and actress and received 2 Grammy nominations for her ex was00:21:10a no song and that stopped us by Southwest it's really00:21:14a place to discover up and comers indie bands and there will be bands of musicians00:21:19here from around the world and just to give you an idea flavor of who's coming in00:21:25and the scope of this we have00:21:28a musician from Chengdu China hire brothers group and then Indonesian rapper rich00:21:34too that will also be here and performing tonight is00:21:39a master of Indian and Pakistani classical music was did not see me he'll be00:21:44performing since the music for Western audiences so that would be very interesting00:21:49to see as well and again that's just said to give you00:21:52a taste of the lineup in the global nature of this music festival now Keith Urban00:21:57you mentioned he's00:21:58a kind of the headliner there one of the bigger names and he was been on board00:22:02across his before he's married to actress Nicole Kidman and they are from Australia00:22:06he is00:22:06a very talented guy singer songwriter and I love his music and I'm sure that it's00:22:12going to be00:22:12a lot of fun for everybody who gets lucky enough to get in is this something that00:22:16you buy00:22:16a ticket to are these performers you said clubs up and down the streets how does00:22:20the South by Southwest Festival work how do people get in yet most of these up.00:22:26Performers are performing at clubs and restaurants around downtown and Austin00:22:32Texas is known as the live music capital of the world so there are countless venue00:22:38where live music can take place and as long as you perches attendees purchases00:22:44music festival badge and with the beds you can get into any music festival00:22:50including the Keith Urban performance from from the big names to the to the up and00:22:56comers anyone with a bad skin can see these performances now I do have00:23:00a question kind of news related to the news was focused the last couple of days on00:23:05Austin Texas where you are because of some some bombs which caused the loss of life00:23:112 people died some people were injured there were bombs blowing up in the last few00:23:15days so how has that impacted the South by Southwest Festival what's going on there00:23:18with relation so that it's interesting because we were supposed to interview the00:23:23Austin police yesterday on a kind of just00:23:26a story about security and how you know how you handle security in00:23:31a big event such as South by Southwest and the police officers had to cancel our00:23:36interview because of this attack and to bomb incidents that have been happening and00:23:42it's been happening throughout the course of 11 days and they don't know if it's00:23:45connected but the 2 victims so far seem to know each other so the police are00:23:51deathly investigating that and it is kind of the talk of South by Southwest we00:23:55talked to00:23:56a few attendees of the festival they're well aware that this is going on but00:23:59they're also relieved that it's not something that's happening. You know related to00:24:06the festival that it's something that's happening in the you know outside of the00:24:09festival self it seems to be an often issue not a festival issue and we asked00:24:14a few attendees what you know whether security is00:24:17a concern whether this incident unnerve them and for the most part they said no I00:24:22mean the fact that we're here we're more aware that crazy things like this do00:24:28happen and it's you know especially in light of what's been happening in the news00:24:32in the last year but they say it's just it's just00:24:36a matter of being vigilant when they're at00:24:37a concert they're more aware of maybe backpacks left on the floor or in00:24:42a corner and that they're there you know they will definitely seek out did they see00:24:47something unusual but it's not going to keep them from enjoying the festival and00:24:51the festival goes on for the rest of the week that's right and so there will be00:24:55many many more days when they'll be concerts and performers to showcase their art00:25:01and you also have taken in some other things beyond just the music and I know I was00:25:06particularly interested to read this morning in the post in the newspaper about00:25:10this 3 D.00:25:11Printer that can make ah house for $10000.00 we're going to try and get that price00:25:15down to 4000 dollars but this 3 D.00:25:17Printer can make00:25:18a house for $10000.00 yeah and this is this was announced here at South by00:25:24Southwest and it's a partnership between an Austin base company called icon and00:25:29a nonprofit called new story in the nonprofit goal is to create more housing00:25:35especially in developing countries and their goal is to make00:25:39a house that's anywhere from 600 to 800 square feet and under 24 hours for less00:25:46than $4000.00 Why did they say they can build this home under unpredictable00:25:52conditions such as limited power and water even if there's00:25:57a limited labor infrastructure that they can somehow build this house that is safe00:26:02enough to Sanders.
