The wealthy patriarch Aristide dies, injected not with his usual insulin (for his diabetes) but injected with a solution of eye drops (eserine, also-known-as physostigmine). The solution put strain on Aristide's weak heart causing his death.

Suspicion falls on the household (family members and the staff) including Aristide's widow who's about 50 years younger!
