Facebook's changing its logo, and Australians say they're okay with government monitoring social media. Welcome to The Feed on Rivet with Amy Guth. Facebook's changing its logo and four out of 5 Australians think it's ok for the government to track them on social media. I'm Amy Guth and this is The Feed on Rivet. White House has lifted its ban on social media and photographs during tours. For the first time in 40 years, people visiting the White House are allowed to take photographs, and also use social media. First Lady Michelle Obama announced the news in an Instagram video post by tearing a \no photos or social media\ sign in half. A new poll indicates that 4 out of 5 Australians say they're comfortable with government agencies monitoring social media to detect potential terrorist activity. The poll also indicated only 27% of Aussies are ok with social media being monitored in order to target advertising. Facebook quietly changed its logo this week for the first time since 2005; it's a subtle change to the logo font that its creative director says will modernize the logo and make it feel more friendly and approachable. That's The Feed on Rivet. I'm Amy Guth.
