“He has sent me to bring glad tidings to the poor.”

And if we ever lose this sense of joy and rejoicing, then our ability to reflect the actual Spirit of Christ will fade and even disappear.

Jesus is identifying with the persecuted, the oppressed, the hungry, the hapless.

Concerted effort is needed now and shall be needed in the future to secure basic needs and rights for a large share of the American public.

Perhaps our legislators need to hear from you to assure them they are on the right track.
