For the next installment in my endless series of mixes, I thought I'd return to my main squeeze—atmospheric jungle. There's something about the style that speaks to my inner ear unlike any other—maybe it's the dolphin in me, or maybe it's the lushly populated sonic forest of strings, pads, beats, bass and otherworldly noises that makes me feel as though I'm adrift in a cloud of musical bliss, and that legs aren't necessary for this part of life’s journey. Every once in a while, a voice pokes its head into the lofty landscape to remind you of your listening apparatus and prevent you from ascending beyond the body into heights untold, but for the most part, it's just pure, instrumental jungle, bottled at the source and delivered in time for Thanksgiving, fresh from my atmosphere to yours.
