Matthew has had to quesetion what happened to Kennedy while Kennedy is forced forced to investigate her own past. Both Kennedy and Heawood make life-changing discoveries as the two investigations come together and reach a gripping conclusion, just as the Coronavirus pandemic is sweeping the world.
This is a modern retelling of H.P. Lovecraft's famous novella.
